SBDN GreenShed and Garden Work Party!

You're all invited to join us on the weekend of April 14th and 15th for a work party to complete the GreenShed, plant the Saskatoon berry orchard and build and plant the community garden! We are the proud recipients of a 2012 Walmart Evergreen Green Grant which enables us to implement the garden and orchard project. We welcome all level of skills - we need those with skills to share, but we also have lots of tasks for those who want to learn and help. And if you can lift a shovel, help children paint signs or are an expert chef who would like to keep everyone going with yummy treats - come on down! And since this is a party - not just work - we will have music, food, coffee, sharing, learning and fun! See you there!

Nov 27 - Day 3

We started the final day of the build by installing the retro-fitted windows, finishing the roof, insulating and sheathing the interior and finalizing some finicky details. After a great weekend of building we've seen substantial changes in the GreenShed; just the framing and finishing of the end walls remain before the greenhouse is a warm, cozy place for plants.
